Colours

The Club's colours are Red on White.

"c. 1910 - The Ladies Recration Club had colours, broad red and white stripes and I remember that I and my sisters wore hat bands around our straw "sailor" hats as they were called in those days, and ties on our high collared shirt blouses that we wore with long white skirts to the ground"

Symbol - Dragon

The Club's symbol is the Oriental dragon - a kindly creature of Chinese mythology benovlent toward humankind. It is a long, scaled, snake-like creature with five claws
Badge and Motto
" ... I wonder whether, at this stage, I could draw your attention to our new Badge and Motto. The Badge is our emblem, the Oriental Dragon bounded by the club's colours, red on white.

That Dragon is progressing upwards and onwards. There is no limit to his, or her, intentions - 'Excelsior' is his or her, roof.
